The passing of my homeless friend Nafiz by Elia Vesikula

The passing of homeless friend Naziff Mohamed aka Nathan. 31/1/22 It is hard to write this note. want to pass on that one of our homeless and Street Dweller our friend Nathan (Nafiz Mohamed (aka) Nathan has passed on. Police in Lautoka have confirmed to me that his body was found in Vunato creek in Lautoka on Sunday morning. There wre bruise marks found on his body and Police said that could be marks from rocks as Nathans body may have floated down creek. Police said that the postmortem showed that his intestine was affected by glue and was deteriorating. Recent alcohol was also found in the stomach. Police said that he may have been drinking with friends and may have fallen in to the creek. Police from the Lautoka Market Police Station said that his relative have buried him. I still have to follow up on that. He sleeps near the Police Post in the market then when he was around and that is where I use to meet him to give his food in the evenings. According to Police he had only one more Police case in court to clear before he will be entirely free. He was last seen on Saturday, very well dressed in a sulu and shirt. But he was not seen in town on Sunday. Thank you so much Sir for always supporting street dwellers with your generous donation. Last week was the last time we met Nathan. He called Tu over and said thank you for the food and hugged and kissed Tu. We did not realize it was their last meeting, so was I. I am comforted that he has given his life to the Lord Jesus Christ so many times. Which is something you wanted us to do. I just had to make sure we renew our commitment to the Lord. I am asking the Lord to show me where he is in heaven. We were organizing (Tu and Nathan) our first Street Dwellers school to be held tomorrow 2/2/23 at lunch hour in the foyer of the Lautoka Full Gospel Church Lautoka. We and his friends will remember him tomorrow and always. There are so many like him, still on the streets. A story from January 2023
