103.That is not a symbolic language, its spiritual reality. Accepting Jesus is not a renovation of your old self, it’s a complete transplant. The heart you once had, the heart that chased sin, the protected pride, justified selfishness is replaced with the heart that actually desires God.

134.That’s why Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 5:17 If anyone is in Christ hes a new creation. The old has passed away and behold the new has come, not rebranded and slightly improve but new and born again. Not through effort, through exchange but what does that look like in real life, it might look like deleting the some one you use to be, run to when you are lonely but now Jesus fills that void.
