Biblical reasons to pray


                        BIBLICAL REASONS TO PRAY

Prayer is an important part of our relationship with God. It is important to pray always. Its also part of our worship and thanksgiving. Prayers is the key to open heavens doors of blessing. Here are some biblical reasons to pray.
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
1. LUKE 18:1. The Parable of the Persistent Widow
 1Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'
 4"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "
 6And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
ACTS 4:31
31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

EPHESIANS: 6:18
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

 1 Timothy 2

Instructions on Worship
1.I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2,for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. 7And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.
 8.I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.

The passing of my homeless friend Nafiz by Elia Vesikula

The passing of homeless friend Naziff Mohamed aka Nathan. 31/1/22 It is hard to write this note. want to pass on that one of our homeless and Street Dweller our friend Nathan (Nafiz Mohamed (aka) Nathan has passed on. Police in Lautoka have confirmed to me that his body was found in Vunato creek in Lautoka on Sunday morning. There wre bruise marks found on his body and Police said that could be marks from rocks as Nathans body may have floated down creek. Police said that the postmortem showed that his intestine was affected by glue and was deteriorating. Recent alcohol was also found in the stomach. Police said that he may have been drinking with friends and may have fallen in to the creek. Police from the Lautoka Market Police Station said that his relative have buried him. I still have to follow up on that. He sleeps near the Police Post in the market then when he was around and that is where I use to meet him to give his food in the evenings.
